Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Stories Restored (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Stories Restored provides AI-powered restoration and enhancement of photographs and documents. You upload images, we process them using third-party AI models, and we return restored outputs. Service features and pricing may change over time.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed.

3. Your Content and License to Us

You retain all ownership rights in the photos and documents you upload ("User Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, transmit, and process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (including sending it to our AI and storage sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy).

You represent that you own or have the rights necessary to upload each image and to grant this license.

4. Ownership of Restored Outputs

Subject to your payment of applicable fees, you own the restored images produced by the Service for your order, and you may use them for personal or commercial purposes. We do not claim any ownership over restored outputs.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to upload or request processing of:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors.
  • Content that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
  • Content depicting real people in a defamatory, harassing, or non-consensual manner.
  • Content that is illegal under applicable law.
  • Content designed to deceive, such as deepfakes intended for fraud or harassment.

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate processing of any content that violates these rules and may report illegal content to the appropriate authorities.

6. AI-Generated Results Disclaimer

Restored outputs are generated by machine learning models. They are not guaranteed to be accurate, faithful to the original, or free of artifacts, hallucinations, or imperfections. The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7. Payments

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles billing, tax collection, invoicing, and chargebacks. Purchases are subject to Lemon Squeezy's terms in addition to ours. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or profits.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stories Restored, its affiliates, and their officers, employees, and agents from any claim, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, or to comply with law. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You and we consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Wyoming for any dispute not subject to arbitration.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
